CIK EVE IS NEARBY BUT TOO BUSY COOKING BAKSO

 Hai selamat malam. 晚安 Wan-an.

Cik Eve, 32 years old, lives near where I’m staying now. She works every day, and her boss doesn’t give her a day off. She makes bakso daily — Indonesian-style meatballs — from her home. She’s not Indonesian, though. She’s been divorced for two years and has one child.

‘Weekend pun kena gentel bakso,’
(‘Even on weekends, I still have to roll bakso.’)
